JADE RABBIT · 玉兔 · TRAILER FIRST LOOK
A body swap makes power personal.
The official trailer gives its fantasy romance a clear problem: power changes when the person and the body no longer line up.

A promising premise to try in episode one.
The hook
An obscure fairy and a formidable ruler are placed on opposite sides of an exchange neither appears to control. The trailer makes the practical problem easy to follow: a powerful identity is suddenly constrained by a vulnerable body. That gives the premise a useful question beyond who will fall for whom: what can either person do when their usual advantages disappear?
Why I would try an episode
The premise puts the characters into active negotiation. Orders, secrecy and the attempt to reverse the exchange all become immediate sources of friction. For a first invitation, that is a strong engine: the characters need something from one another before the longer relationship has had time to develop. My interest here is in that setup, rather than a verdict on how the series delivers it.
What still needs watching
The trailer cannot establish how well the joke develops across scenes, whether supporting characters acquire their own motives, or whether the fantasy rules remain convincing when the stakes grow. Those are the questions I would carry into episode one. Performance, music, long-form pacing and the ending remain unassessed in this first look.
Who may want to start here
This is an accessible entry point for someone drawn to supernatural romance and characters forced to navigate an unfamiliar position. Treat the trailer as a premise test: does the reversal make you curious about the people involved? An episode review will need to show what happens when the story has more room to breathe.
