Three romance detours: household life, immortals and a second chance
Choose between New Life Begins, Moonlight Mystique and Shining for One Thing by their opening setup, setting and listed episode length.
Sometimes the heroine has a perfectly good plan. The plot has other ideas. This little shelf puts three different detours side by side.
For household life and family dynamics, start with New Life Begins (2022). Li Wei wants to lose Xinchuan's marriage selection and go home; meeting the sixth prince, Yin Zheng, sends her in another direction. Pick this setup when court expectations sharing space with daily family life sounds appealing.
For a supernatural costume setting, Moonlight Mystique (2025) starts with Bai Shuo pursuing immortality to repay a favor. Rescuing the demon Fan Yue complicates her quest with clashing intentions and an uneasy attraction. Choose this premise when an immortal world and a wary partnership sound tempting.
For a school setting with a time-reset hook, Shining for One Thing (2022) sends Lin Beixing back to eighteen after her adult life falls apart. She wants to make different choices, until an encounter with Zhang Wansen complicates her plans. The linked record is the 2022 television series.
For the shorter episode list in this trio, iQIYI lists 24 episodes for Shining for One Thing, alongside 40 each for New Life Begins and Moonlight Mystique. These are the named provider's listing totals. Use the linked series records to save your choice, and check iQIYI for access in your region.
